Founded in 2020, Volcán del Mar produces premium gourmet seasoning blends based on smoked sea salt from Mexico’s Pacific coast, mineral-rich and balanced, combined with carefully selected natural ingredients from across the country.

Volcán del Mar was born in a traditional smokehouse kitchen, where fire, wood, and salt shaped the chef’s craft and nurtured creativity. His mission is to elevate everyday meals with distinct natural flavor. Each blend is handcrafted with premium ingredients and crafted to take taste beyond the familiar.

 

The Salt That Sparked Everything

In the kitchen, the chef discovered delicate crystals that looked like snowflakes — fleur de sel from Mexico’s Pacific coast. Harvested only for a few weeks each year, this sea salt is rich in minerals and naturally pure. That first taste lit the spark for Volcán del Mar: seasoning blends with story, character, and purpose.

 

Mesquite Magic in Every Crystal 

Sourcing locally, the chef rediscovered mesquite, a wood native to Mexico. Gathered only once fallen, it burns slow and clean, with rich, aromatic smoke. It meets the delicate sea salt to impart warmth, fragrance, and depth. Patient, small-batch smoking brings out a bold yet balanced profile in every crystal.

 

Mixed by Hand, Measured by Place

After gentle, carefully controlled smoking, the salt crystals are blended with whole, natural ingredients to create Volcán del Mar’s signature seasonings. Each ingredient — herbs, roots, fruits, and vegetables — comes from regions of Mexico where the climate and soil bring out their finest flavors.
